The Moominvalley Park near Tokyo is hosting a special umbrella sky event until July 6, 2025, featuring colorful umbrella displays and hydrangea flowers. Check the event dates, access, and highlights.
Starting from April until July 6, the Moominvalley Park near Tokyo is hosting the Moominvalley and Umbrella Sea event.
Along the approximately 200-meter-long path from the park entrance to the Moomin Valley area, about 1,000 umbrellas will be installed overhead.
The 2025 theme is based on the beginning of the Moomin story—"Little Troll and the Great Flood." The colorful umbrella corridor will beautifully decorate the sky, creating a stunning spectacle that can be enjoyed both on sunny days and rainy days for perfect photo opportunities.
As part of the event, the Umbrella Sky and Hydrangea Flower Road will be held for the first time from June 6 to July 6, 2025.
Around 1,000 hydrangea plants with approximately 2,500 flowers bloom along both sides of the Umbrella Sea corridor, complementing the colorful umbrellas overhead to create a stunning scene that echoes the rainy season.
